Interviewer:

Wao, what an excellent man to have in the room… You have many things you do, but before I base on that, can you tell us about your background?

How you grew up? Your school life and some more

Henry:

I Grew up in the family of Six, 4 girls and 2 boys (Me and my Last Born) we all grow up in lagos, Bariga to Be Precise (a Ghetto i call it, a Ghetto that Has Produce so many Successful people in Nigeria Today in the Likes of Olamide Badoo the YBNL Boss, 9ice and Many More like that…..) i Went to a public school from my primary to secondary, then worked as a Receptionist/Accountant/Office Assistant At A Chattered Accountant Firm In Lagos (Gfams Consulting) Before I eventually Went Fully into Blogging and Online Business Now!

Interviewer:

Such a nice background, hustle hard to make ends meet! How did your journey into blogging and online business started, or did you just wake up one day and decided to start blogging? I am sure it’s a NO, so how did it started

?

Henry:

My Journey into blogging started when i was in JSS1, i didnt go into blogging fully……

I created my first blogspot out of Boredom because things of this world (Especially in Nigeria) dont interest me, i dont know how blogger works i stumble upon it via google and i just registered and then left i did not know it importance or what its used for, moreover I happen to be a Foreman (a person who is multi talented) who can do anything, i can do anything, i’m a very person and i taught my self alot starting from my JSS1 what really caught my attention was How to make monry online ads i see on sites online, but i noticed one thing that those sites i saw that how to make money ads almost all those sites shows same type of bottom adverts (i was so surprised that i wanted to know more about the same bottom adverts showing on so many sites i visit, after my research i noticed that it was a wapka sites that carries those thye of bottom ads, from there i learnt about html, xml and css and little of javascripts (my first site was www.tjhenry.wapka.mobi) then i later built another one (www.sharedwap.tk) from there i started cheching out other wapsites building sites like xtgem, simplesite, zohosites, mywapblog, and many more i cant remember….. I have sites accross this platforms

Later when i entered SS3 i converted one of my wapka site into Exam Expo site, where i provide Waec, Neco and Gce Answers an Hour Before exam starts, i made alot of money from that, i also gained popularity from there and then after school i saw the nee to upgrade my level and do something better for my self because i cant boast of a wapka site then i decieded to go back to that first blogspot i opened since i have read and know somethings about it….. My first blogspot blog was Snowbooks.com.ng launched november 2016 as an elibrary blog for novels and stories, then i sold it and later got Naijarep.com and then others followed

Interviewer:

Hmmm …. What a reality, that has turned into a storyline, I enjoy

Now you’re now into blogging and you are renowned, when anyone says, am with Henry Ijogu, people will hail and say ‘o boy you don go far ooo’… How was the journey so far when you got into the world of blogging?

Smooth?

Henry:

lolz….. Not smooth it was rough! And still rough because Nigeria (FG – Federal Government) dont recognise us, if they do we ought to be celebrating Bloggers day, Cyber attack is another Thing, Hackers wont let us rest (i lost Naijarep.com, my Private Email and Adsense with $380dollas inside to an Hacker i never Know) and then this Yahoo boys Are Giving us Bad names more reason why Paypal will never Recognise Nigeria, But i thank God for where i’m today and i believe i’m still going higher lately it has Been smooth with God and i’m always fufilled when i see young and upcomming bloggers Striving to Come to the Top! I havent gotten anywhere like i said i am still going higher.

Interviewer:

Higher and higher everyday! What are the challenges you face as a blogger majorly?

Henry:

i have mentioned them Earlier but one thing i didnt mention is limitaton’s accorded to nigerians which is affecting every blogger today, examples are Paypal they dont recognise us because they believe we are scammers and not trusted, then payoneer too we cant withdraw to our bank direct, all this makes me feel bad and i feel for us, then hackers, Yahoo boys, Scammers and lastly the successful bloggers who dont look down to help the upcomming ones in the likes of Linda Ikeji, Laila Ijeoma, seun Osewa (not a blogger but a forum owner, its same) etc…. those are my challenges. I pray not to be like them when i get there.

Interviewer:
Amen sir! Now , what’s your goal as a Nigerian blogger?

Henry:

My Goal! I suppose God knows best! I cant say wherever God directs me i will go, I seem to be more of a Blogging teacher and IMER than Blogger. But i one day hope to own one of successful Forum in nigeria (East to be Precise especially for students in the tetiary institutions)

Interviewer:

Really? This is nice to hear of you! Now before we round up, what advice do you have for upcoming bloggers out there?

Henry:

Hardwork, Dedication, Time, Competition, Mentor, and Money this are things that will keep a blogger up in the game! Also dont make blogging your ony source of income cos you can never make money overnight from blogging.

Dont blog because of money blog because you have passion for it and because you have a message you wanna pass accross to the world, dont use your blog to threaten people, and dont be scared of threats…..

Remember This ‘Obstacles will come, meaning the hard days, HAckers and Scammers, condemnation and criticism will come but how strong your faith and believe in what your doing blogging is what really matters and not what people say about you. That is my adsise for those upcomming new bloggers.

Interviewer:

Thanks so much Mr Henry, its mice having you in the room today

Henry:

Thanks Mr Akin. Have a Splendid Weekend!

Interviewer:

Thanks sir
